EP6 engine into 205

Hi all,

 

Just wondering if anyone has thought about putting an EP6 engine from a 308gti into a 205 yet and the tuning potential of these?

Greatest potential of an EP6 engine is made when you meet it with a trash can .. then you can be financially and mentally free , sleeping will get better too . 

 

Now , honestly .. "on paper" the ideas visions and the amount of modern technology involvement with regards to the EP6 engine are all very interesting , but it simply didn't work/proven itself in practice , unnecessarily overly engendered as most of the BMW stuff is .

 

Was an step or two backwards for the PSA this completely new engine , they had great base from previous older engines (from my humble opinion) all they had to do was just tweak/modernize the old TU's/EW's .. was shame to ditch them when they where proven reliable in favor for this completely new very modern EP engine series which where endless trouble from the beginning .

 

The first/early EP's where the worst , luckily there's not much of them if any around as they're all fallen apart by now .. later ones are a little bit better but still , nowhere near the old TU's/XU's/EW's reliability wise . Think there was over 6 revisions of the EP engine series trough the years , only the "R" forged ones are a little bit better .

The Vanos and Valvetronic are from BMW but the EP6 bottom end is suspiciously similar to the 1.6 HDI and the bore spacing is still the same than the TU or X engine.

You can also mostly bolt the EP6 turbo exhaust manifold on a TU5JP4 head.

Thanks for the feedback, think I’ll steer clear of it then And might look to embrace the EW after reading the posts about it!
