Head bolt spacers?

I've read somewhere that one(?) of the head bolts on my 1.6 should have a spacer to avoid the bolt going in the waterways?

I have my head off for a rebuild, and i cant remember seeing any spacers when dismanting. Do i need it?

You need it badly, it's a 22mm tall spacer.

You're lucky to remember it before cracking the block on the waterpump housing.

Just to be clear all the head bolts have 2 smaller spacers, roughly 6 or 8mm from memory. The bolt above water pump has one of these as well as the larger spacer

I guess i need to make a new one if i cant find it... exactly 22mm?

Ah for god's sake, I've muddled my reply, all the head bolts have the 1 spacer, the only headbolt with 2 is above the water pump!
