Flywheel for omex 600

Recommended Posts

Ruben

Hi There! Im using a omex 600 ecu on my 205 1.6 GTI , but it requires using a crank position sensor , for that i will need to use a flywheel wich applys to that sensor. The omex manual says that for Bosch applications it requires a 60-2 flywheel teeth pattern , i only can find flywheels with 58-2 teeth , i thougt about using a lightned flywheel that has the right pattern but, for my application its not a suitable choice , and also because the budget is quite minimum, my question is: Can i use a 58-2 pattern flywheel? Is there going to be any issue in therms of reading?

 Best Regards!

Pretty sure all the distributor-less XU flywheels have that same 60-2 teeth/triggering pattern .

Late XU5 and XU7 engines would be best as an 60-2 flywheel donor i'd say , shouldn't weight much more than the 1.6 GTi item if not the same weight .

406/Xantia's with 1.6/1.8 engines will have them .

Yes it does have the same 60-2 ring pattern  but  the Mi16 flywheel uses a bigger 215mm clutch plate & cover.
