GTI dash on carb model Rev counter connections

Recommended Posts

Remi

Hello Guys,

I have a 1.4CJ '89 with GTI dash fitted (bought like this). Can someone help me to make my rev counter work. At the moment it doesn't have any wires at all.

So rev counter has 4 pins, as from the info page found this:

1.

2. Ground [M32B]

3. Revs counter [112]

4.

Pin 2 easy to get the ground.

Where should I connect the pin 3? As the carb version doesn't have the ECU, where the carb models get the rev counter? Will I need to do the mod of the gauge?

Thank you for any thoughts.

In order to make it work you need :

- switched 12V supply

- earth/ground

- coil signal

Wire 112 is main tacho signal wire , need to connect it on the coil negative terminal .

All worked as described. Thank you Damir again. I am happy now to see my rev counter working finally.
