Be1 release bearing and clutch

Recommended Posts

davemar

I've just bought a clutch for my 205. I've got a 1.9 mi16 engine with a be1 1.9 8v gearbox (lift up reverse). I've got an Mi16 215mm clutch on it (as far as I remember!) which is on its last legs.

The clutch I ordered appears to have the release bearing for the later gearbox with the long pivot rod, rather than the earlier one with the L-shaped lever and towel (my gearbox).

- Even if I've got the wrong release bearing, are the clutches the same regardless?

 - Where can I get the correct release bearing? Most places seem really bad at clearly identifying the type.

When swapping between BE1 and Be3 clutches/gearboxes the only difference is the release bearing.

sounds like you need a 205 be1 release bearing.
