Rear beam bracket

Recommended Posts

Hi . If I unbolt the bracket (circled) ,is the long thin bracket under tension (arrowed) that  attaches to the end of the beam tube . Will anything be damaged.

the car is currently on axle stands positioned at the end of the shockers.

Not in my experience. I wouldn't move the trailing arm with the bolt out though incase it misaligns

if its supported by the lower damper bolts there may be some tension in the arb, I would move them to the beam tube itself.
