Faded C Pillar badges

Recommended Posts

DSYKES5500

Hi all,

My C pillar badges are very faded, using plastic trim products makes them look better but they still look faded.  I've seen people online using the heatgun trick to bring the oils in the plastic back to the surface but I've also seen comments that contradict this method saying that it can leave the plastic brittle.  Could I use this method once and then keep them protected with product?

I've also found decals to go over the lettering, has anyone done this to theirs?

Thanks

The decals should be used on blank trims, on yours they may or may not not line up perfectly.

As for the heat gun the red paint may not like it.

Have you tried the Wurth plastic trim dye? That works really well and lasts quite a long time.

I second that wurth trim dye, I did mine before I put my decals on about 3 years ago and it still looks good. It's about £30 a tube though I think but it is good stuff.
