You’ve got clearance Clarance?

Recommended Posts

mmt

My rear spoiler has about 1,5 cm clearnce to the tire. Is that enough?

I have not driven it yet (except on and off trailer). Don’t want to spoil the spoiler/the new paint first time out. Race car only.

If I (reasonable full grown !) sit in the trunk the gap is 1 cm.

thanks

Have a similar issue that I suspect is the rear axle front mount plates as the 1.9 models actually had offset studs to give extra clearance for the 15" wheels where the 1.6 models had centered studs also if the beam is lowered I believe that also changes the wheel position to a certain extent

Great input. Thanks.

That Could be it. My mounts are solid with non-offset studs.

do you know How much the offset is on the original studs ?

It's not the rear mounts which is what I assume you have changed to solid mounts, it's the front ones with two studs each going up into the floorpan.

No, that's the rear one.

They're shown in this thread but photobucket are blurring them a bit:

The ones in your photo (or your solid ones) go into a slotted hole on the beam so can be moved fore and aft depending on the front mounts you fit.

I am not 100 % sure However I believe that 309 beam on a 205 Will only with one of the 2 different front mounts.

can anyone confirm?

Not the bushes, but mounting plates that locate the front edge of the beam to the floor pan..... the studs are offset, actually bloody hard things to find pictures of when you need to.

309 beam belongs on 309, avoid... best 205's have 205 beams

Wheel base is spot on 2420.
Raised the rear 1 cm, gap is now good.
