I’m just gonna let the picture tell.
New Koni shocks, new Sachs springs. Did I get the SUV edition???

The engine is in the engine bay.

Second hand used OE is what i would go for ..

If you can't find OE springs try :

Kayaba : RA1543 KYB

... they should be for GTi only , based on the part number .

Sachs is : 997312 S

.. but it lists this part number for base models and GTi as well which is wrong ?!? or it might be error within the parts catalogue .

OE part No. is : 5002 37

@Telf had this problem when he fitted new dampers on his rebuilt 205. He used the original springs but it ended up very high and he had to fit lowering springs to get it down to normal ride height.

Eibach's are good , the best aftermarket lowering springs .. if you want to go lower than std. height , as you wish .

Sachs list 4 variations of OE alternative springs for 205 , so with them chances to get "wrong" ones is bigger than Kayaba .

Correct Sachs OE replacement springs for GTi should be - 997312 S

But if you want OE suspension height , me thinks it's best to look for some OE second hand GTI springs .. Peugeot was a bit specific about suspension on a 205 GTI , they made the dampers by themselves , so i guess the springs too ?! ..
