HELP.... 205 GTI door internals

Recommended Posts

IOWGENTRY

Hi Everyone,

Long time since I've been here and its good to be back ;) GENTRY NUMBER 8 LOL

I've managed to find and purchase a Sorrento  green Gentry but seriously need some help and advice, the shell needs putting back together... I'm starting with the doors but they are completely empty inside. Is there anyone who can help or advise how and what needs to go back in the door, more to the point is there a door rebuild thread? I have the door shell and window glass only.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks Phill

Have you got all the stuff? As if not, surely the easiest way is to buy some doors complete and then transfer everything over.

Window runners, window winder or electric, door latch mechanism, and the lock.

Hi. Are you looking for a complete set of door internals or advice on how to assemble a pile of door internals that are sitting in a box ?

No internals what so ever.

In that case I'd think your only option is to find some donor doors for all the bits you will need. Obviously that will show you how it all fits together.

I agree with Tom. I have a set of door internals for both sides of the car , but of little help to you because you will still be faced with a box of bits . Donor doors  are your best bet . However, The Haynes manual does give some guidance if you feel that the manual is sufficient
