Best CO level

Recommended Posts

Hi, has anyone got a view on what percentage CO you should aim fir for best driveability and running.

To pass it's MOT the current Air Flow Meter one has been adjusted, but it fails to idle properly, and keeps cutting out in standing traffic.

I thought i could swap it with another Air Flow Meter as I have a couple of spares and adjust it so it runs better and swap at MOT time to the 'correct' one.

Any idea as to what to set it to?

Thanks.

Somewhere around 1-1.5% CO tends to work in terms of idle and is obviously well under the MOT limit of 3.5%

You really shouldn't need to be swapping AFM's around for MOT's though - indeed, usually I find that if it's so rich that it fails the MOT then it's normally prone to hunting and poor idle anyway.
