Phil205 1 1 Cars Posted November 22, 2018 (edited) My car is fitted with (SIEM) front driving lights - (not the headlights - the white lights below the bumper that come on with the main beam) Does anyone know where to get a pair of replacements from ? Do I need to get a left and right hand version or are they the same on both sides ? I am happy to buy a new pair, if available. Thankyou. jackherer 543 Posted November 22, 2018 No, they aren't made any more so the over priced ones on ebay are all that's available if you want to keep it original. Phil205 1 1 Cars Posted November 23, 2018 When buying the Denji units, do I need to buy the new mounting brackets or can I re-use the existing ones from the SIEM units ? If swapping the whole light unit, Is it just a case of undoing the bolt at the back of the light and swapping the unit over ? Sounds like a good idea to use the existing SIEM body and swap out the innards, but I think they are pretty corroded. I will have another look to see if they can still be used. Only way of undoing the nut is to cut off all the exposed thread first of all. As said just undo the 2x screws and leave the backing alone. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Phil205 1 1 Cars Posted November 26, 2018 I am going to buy the replacement parts from Ian on ebay. Hopefully I just need new reflectors and metal frames. I am hoping I can re-use the existing bulb and wiring. I can see the bulb has the positive wire connected to it. Where does the negative get connected to the bulb ? Phil205 1 1 Cars Posted December 3, 2018 Does the rectangular rubber gasket fit between the plastic body and the reflector ? Someone thought it should fit between the metal frame and glass ?
