Question about lock cylinder sets

Recommended Posts

MrAndy

My patient has a poor situation with the locks and keys. The only key that I have fits to:

- fuel filler

- ignition

- driver's door

Added to that, the driver's door lock is the wrong type (it has black plastic external, not the shiny metal like it should be)

So I'd like to get all the locks working with the same key, and I could...

- Buy the correct driver's door lock and re-match both doors and the tailgate

- Buy the whole set of locks (what I found available as new don't include the fuel filler cap, so that should be re-matched to the new keys then)

I'm building a long term relationship with the car, so it would be nice to renew all (most of) the locks.

What is the difference between (and how will I know which one is correct for me)?:

- Valeo 252233 (OE: 416231)

- Valeo 252232 (OE: 416246)

Thanks

Contact Colin (leet205) he can sort your locks out to work from the same key.

As above, talk to Colin. He went above & beyond to help me out with some key/lock issues I was having.
