Standard 1.9 cam lift at TDC

Recommended Posts

Rock Lobster

Hi all, I am looking at confirming a figure for standard cam valve lift at TDC. I have found an old post stating 65 thou but this was 10 years ago I can't find anything else.

Basically I have a vernier pulley to install but I want to check the cam timing is ok more than anything. The thing is running like a bag of balls so I want to start with the basics and go from there.

Any help would be much appreciated Thanks.

I found this topic. I also found a way to determine camshaft timing with basic tools

0.065" @ TDC is close enough for the standard D6B cam. I've never taken the time to measure it accurately, but given it's duration, it will certainly be in the range 0.055-0.075". I'd definitely use that as a starting point and fine tune +/- 1 degree crankshaft from there.
