That reminds me, I have one of those Vauxhall pumps stashed away somewhere, I got it years ago and never did anything with it.

 

Now PSA own Vauxhall/Opel does it count as OEM? ;)

 

I also like the simplicity and reliability of a mechanical pump but it isn't easy to find them for 1.9 Mi16s any more and I also quite like having both cam ends blanked off.

Maybe , anyways i'm sure we wont tell anyone to embarrass you by using Vauxhall/Opel parts ! :P

How does this work? It does only pump/create pressure at the moment the steering wheel is being used and if so does it also makes a diference whether there is needed a lot of steering (parking the car) or just a little (which will give more feel at higher speeds)?

Other question, on how much amp fuse should this kind of pumps (PSA/Vauxhal/Mercedes) be secured?
