1.6 GTI rear hub bearing play

Recommended Posts

Just checked car in preparation for MOT and found what I though was excessive play in rear bearing even though it had new drums and bearings not long ago. Stub axles seemed OK at the time

Replaced with new SNR kit and seems to be some play still even after torquing it up to the Haynes manual setting

Is some play acceptable in wheel bearing for MOT?   or have I not just not torqued it enough? or something else?

Should not be any play. Is the washer present under the big nut?
