205 V6 “limp mode”?

Recommended Posts

Fraser

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has ever had issues with the earlier 3.0 V6 engine struggling to rev and having no power. Was working fine in Peugeot 406. The purge canister has been removed and the vacuum pipe has been blanked off. Is there any main things that cause a struggle to rev, everything is definitely plugged in. If the lambda sensor gets high  O2 readings could this cause it.

thanks

Try unplugging the lambda it’ll run without, sounds similar to a problem I had caused by a dud lambda

I think the exhaust as I drove the 406 before the conversion and it went very well. It must be something I have done, it is now revving a bit easier but unplugging the lambda made no difference, I have noticed there is a smell of fuel so is running very rich

Engine has now cut out and won’t restart for some reason the fuel gauge is reading full.

Have you checked for any fault codes?
