Airbox 1,3 Rallye Weber 40 DCOE / DCOM

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am searching for a airbox for a Peugeot 205 1,3 Rallye which originally has Weber 40 carburators.

It is the plate which is mounted on the carburators and the box which comes over the carburators intake I am searching for.

Some pictures are uploaded as well.

Thanks.

I have an air box and a choice of two backing plates.  The only issue with the air box is that someone has covered the two little gauze holes with something like mastic or silicone sealant, but it would be simple to replace these.

I think I also have the thinner airbox for an AX sport if you are interested.

Ok, It's been a long time since I posted any pics so this may or may not work out.

Here we have the airbox:

And the original back plate:

The AX Sport airbox:

And lastly the second back plate which I picked up with a set of new anti-vibe mounts for the DCOMs.  It's never been on a car but it's is missing several of the spring clips as you can see.

Let me know if you want any of these and I'll think about a price.  I've got no real feel for what they are worth at present.

Cheers,

Adam

Hi Martin.

I think the original backplate plate is an AX sport

one, although I seems to recall that it came with the Euro Rallye setup.

The second backplate is the Rallye one. The AX Sport came with Solex carbs not the Weber DCOM's. The two holes in the black plastic air box are not standard but a lot of the Rallyes were modified like this, no idea why. The big problem is that the rubber seal between the black air box and metal backplate is very difficult to find. The spring clips are available from Batteux Competition in France.
