Removing wiring loom

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

How do I unplug the two main connectors through which the wiring loom enters the engine bay please?

Haynes says they should twist and pull but I've seen other posts here saying to push the wires through into the foot wells and remove from inside but I can't seem to do either :-(

I've put a picture of one of them below - this is the one that lives up near the expansion tank and there's a second one just underneath the heater matrix pipes too, neither of which will budge.

Any ideas welcome please.

Ian.

They're not connectors, they are just rubber grommets around the loom where it passes through the bulkhead. You need to push the lip of the grommet inwards then push it through the bulkhead and feed the rest of the loom through.

I just found this photo via google:

You can see from that it is only going one way (into the car)
