blandy 29 Posted January 4, 2018 With my engine build underway and aiming for around 230bhp-ish what clutches are people using? Car will be a track car only so no road use currently using a Valeo mi16 set up

16v205 9 Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) If your car is nasp, mine would be similar bhp. I was using a standard valeo mi16 clutch, it didn't slip. I'm only swapping it out for another standard mi16 clutch as a few fingers have collapsed. It must have been 12 years old though. blandy 29 Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) Yes forgot to mention it’s n/a so will be sub 200lbft torque I would expect welsh is there any benifit on push or pull? As I have the parts to run either Edited January 4, 2018 by blandy
petert 549 Posted January 4, 2018 The standard valeo handles the torque fine, it just doesn't like high rpm downshifts. That's when the straps will self destruct.

blandy 29 Posted January 4, 2018 Are you using the helix cover as well or just the pressure plate?
