205 gti problems

My 205 gti isn't running properly, yesterday changed plugs everything was fine, then it started loosing power over 70 mph n when slowing down it would cut out n show the stop sign on the dash, it started again n manged to get it home..so this morning I cange the plugs bk thinking that could be the problem but it wasn't n run wouldn't even idle n just cut out..so refitted the new plugs it started easier but still cut out again..so adjusted the cable on the carb to keep the revs up so it wouldn't cut out witch works but when driving it there's no power n won't go over 30mph, any1 no what the problem is..its a standard 1.6 205 gti if that helps..

I assune it isnt on carbs.

 

Check the dist. Cap and rotor arm
