306 Xsi 2.0 8V Ecu Setup On 205 1.6

Recommended Posts

Terry1600

a friend of mine bought a 205 many years ago and it had on it, an injection/ecu setup from a 306 XSI 2.0 8v, it used the whole setup but instead of the injectors it came with, it used the 1.6 ones (it was installed on an XU 1.6)

is this a common conversion, i haven't seen it all used before (just this one) but it looks like it would be a straight bolt on setup.

it ran as well, not sure how well though, only seen pictures.

could it have been the whole 2.0 xsi engine?

any comments?

I have said management for sale with inlet and reconditioned head skimmed to raise compression on an ally block if you decide to give it a go!

It will work just not very well.

Knock sensor and lambda will help but the injectors will be too big for a 1.6 so it's always going to over fuel

yep, 155 vs 190 cc/min.

it may swell start and run but for it to last and work properly yes it will need a map.

its most likely a complete xsi lump though, some pictures will help.
