dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted June 16, 2017 I was at scrappy's yesterday to see a mangled CTI and they let me into the restricted area which was massive and filled with lots of unique stuff. There was 12 Mk 3/4 Escorts of the XR/RS variety on the racks, that will probably just rot away. That's something you don't see everyday. The (GTI6) CTI would have been in excellent condition pre accident, but there was little pickings, some body kit, and maybe the seats would have been salvageable, and maybe tail board and back bumper if anyone's interested. I got the sqoosher pump, whooo hoo. Anyone recognise it? https://www.scbvehicledismantlers.co.uk/breaking-vehicles/details/Peugeot-205/18352
Gaz205 50 Posted June 16, 2017 Such a shame to see all those there. But I guess when they were stacked they were worth more in scrap than as a car Shame they won't see Tarmac again
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted June 16, 2017 I just checked the MOT history on the red cabby that I can see the reg, 39k miles in 2014, probably a one owner car. The grey RS has 90k in 2010. Such a shame to see all those there. But I guess when they were stacked they were worth more in scrap than as a car Shame they won't see Tarmac again I'm not sure what they are doing with them, but I don't think they are for parts as they're not advertised on their site. jackherer 543 Posted June 16, 2017 I hope whoever was in that CTI is OK, the chopped off A pillars and roll bar are a bit ominous.

If it's a scrapyard in the term 'scrapped cars' they can only ever be used for parts. Maybe they got clever and stored them for future sale but they don't look that well looked after lol
Silky 33 1 Cars Posted June 16, 2017 Good timing with this thread. Look what I pulled out of a barn recently, a real genuine barn find, been there for more than half its life. Recommission happening very soon Xr3i

GLPoomobile 958 Posted June 16, 2017 Is that the scrappy at Newbridge? I've not seen through the back before.
Silky 33 1 Cars Posted June 16, 2017 I'd wash that ^ for nothing It needs a really good clean, it did have a cloth thrown over half of it, but the paintwork is rough to touch. Ideally needs a going over with a mop to try and take the top layer off
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted June 16, 2017 Is that the scrappy at Newbridge? I've not seen through the back before. Yep, that's the one. Yeah, they're not too keen on letting anyone into that bit. It's as big up there as it is on the normal bit! Massive

I bet that car will come up great ???? Edited June 16, 2017 by dobboy
