Replacement Sockets For Orginal Relay And Fuse Holders?

Recommended Posts

Anyone able to help out on part numbers for the electrical terminals in the orginal style fuse holders and relay holders?

I also need help on how to release the terminals from the relay holder? Any help on this appreciated!

It's a bit tricky to describe, but dead easy once you've got the knack...

This is what the terminals look like. To get them out what you need to do is bend in the tab slightly by using something to put pressure on them roughly 1/3rd of the way along - where the red arrow is.

There are a couple of different types of relay sockets, but the terminals all come out in the same way. If the terminal has two slots above it like this:

Then a piece of stiff wire or a small screwdriver in the left slot, pushed inwards towards the centre terminal, will let you remove the wire by wiggling it from the back:

If the terminal doesn't have two slots like that then there isn't space to stick a piece of wire, so you'll have to use something flat like the tip of a pair of scissors or a flat screwdriver, but the idea is the same - slide it down the side of the terminal, then push it inwards towards the centre, and wiggle the wire from the back.

I should add that sometimes you find relay sockets with a clip on the back to stop the wires from coming out (mostly on 106/306 looms I think). If you pinch opposite corners of the clip then it will pull partly out of the way - enough for you to get the terminals out as above.

Thanks.. I'll give it a try when I get home from work :)

I have found some part numbers on servicebox now after I discovered the "Connection" part of it.

And I believe this one shows the fuse holder and part numbers of relevant socket pins, item 23.
