Badge Reconditioning Tips Wanted Please.

Hi All

I'm going to have a got at refurbing my tailgate badges and quarter badges so though I'd ask all you chaps for any info or tips you might have.

I done a set about 14 years ago using a can of red and a can of matt black paint and a few hours of painfully slow masking up.

They turned out ok for a cheap run about but I'm now hoping for something that looks a little more OE.

I'm guessing plasticare will be the way to go?

How did you do yours?

:)

I saw a chap on the 309 forum use water! put the badges in some very shallow water so just the faces are poking out and re-spray. They came out great.

Gregor on this does the quarter badges from a blank set you can get from Pug a very good effort to.

Wilky

Someone on here did his tailgate GTI badge by spraying it red and when it was dry spraying the whole thing black and then wiping the black from the raised lettering, it looked fantastic
