Emerald Wiring Diagram.

Recommended Posts

p1234

Im having trouble starting my gti6 engine run by an emerald.

Pushing the start button and the led on the ecu lights red.

I used this setup in my old 205 with a standard interior loom but the new car has a modified interior loom with different connectors so don't know if ive messed up joining the two.

Looking for an emerald diagram to check it over from scratch if anyone has one.

It's on the Emerald website for download - wiring diagrams and pinouts are from page 55 onwards in the manual (on the K3 one anyway)

Sounds like the Emerald isn't seeing a valid crank signal if the engine is turning over but the LED is staying red

Ah thanks for that Anthony I didnt realise they were available.

It wont even crank over, no prime from fuel pump, no spark, not much seems to be happening.

If it won't even turn over, the Emerald wiring diagram isn't going to help you much as the starter side of things isn't related to that.

Are you saying that the LED on the Emerald only lights up when you press the starter button? If so, make sure that you've not got the starter and ignition wires around the wrong way - Peugeot swapped their positions on the under dash brown plugs between Phase 1.5 and Phase 2 cars, so they can need swapping if you take a loom from one car and put it in another.

Otherwise, it's time to dig out a multimeter and see where you do and don't have the expected voltages.

Red light only lights up when pushing the starter,

By the sounds of things ive used the wrong 205 diagram to match the two, spent hours at it today.

No, likely to be the right diagram, just got two wires wrong way round as Anthony said, wire numbers and functions did not change.

Any diagram ive seen so far doesnt detail the brown under dash plugs.
