Dta Mapping Recommendations, N West.

Recommended Posts

Evening Chaps,

Can anyone recommend a mapping outfit in the North West area who could re-map the S40 in my 309? I need the cold idle sorting (tried allsorts to get it right, but I just can't get to grips with mapping!) The engine is also running quite rich almost all the time. At Oulton Park on Saturday, it was using almost as much fuel as my Evo used to! I don't expect to get 40mpg, but still.........

Wayne Schofield at Chipwizards always seems to be highly praised, but difficult to contact. I was also considering TDi North. Any other suggestions?

Cheers!

Thanks Mei. Have you used Mikeanics?

DTA will probably point me towards the mapper I last used as they're closest to me. I'll phone them tomorrow anyway... Must be a few around Manchester/Liverpool surely?

I used wayne at chipwizards for my s40 mapping just before christmas, but hes closed chipwizards for a while as hes sorting new premises out. John clarkson autos in westhoughton has a rolling road and knows dta he was recommended by a local race team and after speaking to him he seems quite capable.

Wayne over mikeanics, I have experience with both. Mikeanics are still very good though if you can't get hold of Wayne. Best bet is to text or email him.

I havent used Mikeanics but heard they have a decent reputation, seen their Escort cosworth WRC out on the stages over the years.

Dont think you will get hold of Wayne very quickly at the moment, I know Martin Fox used him recently but is likely to head down south east ish for mapping at http://www.tracknroad.com/
