Ok so have not updated this in a while had a few flutters with alloys since aswel most will have seen in the end up how she looks now at pugfest .

The bug white wheels did look good but slowed her down horribly so i had to give up on them , running 406 white coupe wheels now and looking good on them (imo)

After pugfest i sat or stood ( cannot remeber which haha)

I have decided the next few steps will be upgrading parts and thing i already have , eg painting all the current black things in a new gloss black so they all look new eg mirror cover , door handles scuttle panel etc

Also finding some better condition panels one of which i have done already ,

I will have a smooth 3 bar grill shortly aswel

Once this has been done and she looks abit more flawless i belive that in itself will make a big difference , i will then look at maybe a new exhaust system and morrette headlights .

Oh and another big shout to pugfest , loved it and will be back next year

I started out hating the colour and trim and wheels on this car but as time has gone on and your project has progressed, I have to say it's looking really nice! For something you've done mostly yourself it's mighty impressive and considering as you said, it's keeping it on the road I commend you, sir!

So as i said i wouldnt be changing much one the car for the next few months it was going to be a tidy up what ive got period etc , but i did say next was the 3 bar grill .

And over the last few days ive worked on it and made some good progress

null_zpsad17cf20.jpg

So picked this up of graham/pugham

null_zpsd430bda0.jpg

Fibreglassed it , this is very messy and annoying to clean of fingers etc haha

null_zpsf80ccc4f.jpg

After several coats of filler and sanding down i got it as good as i felt i could .

null_zpsc685677b.jpg

After a light guide coat of primer , i flatted it down and gave it a good coat and this is how far im at as of tonight , so far im very happy with it

Did you just fill the badge hole with fibreglass or did you use anything to bridge the gap? I've bought two grills to use to do this, one to take slates out of and use as fillers for the Gap in the other, but your way might be a lot simplier!

Well mine isnt absolutely perfect but its not bad at all , , and yes the fibre glass just sat in the holes so you cannot see them etc,

Ok so project tidy up is under way and after picking up a brand new auto bonnet , I decided to make a start on it today .

Decided to make it look as pro as I can and actually painted the back of it like so

null_zps6922719d.jpg

null_zps988c5563.jpg

Then made a start of the front gave it a light sand down and a clean

null_zpsfbd74b83.jpg

And then gave it a nice coat of primer , which I've flatted and re-coated due to a few edges going through etc

null_zps8e33495a.jpg

Il update when I get round to finishing it in a few days time
