1.9 Handbrake Cable Left/right Length Difference

Can anyone tell me what the difference in length is between the 2 cables?

Just spoken to gsf and they can get me a set of cables they have said one is 1417 and the other is 1432, what length are they meant to be as I've read on here a different size to what gsf have said

That's correct for 1.9 (disk) handbrake cables - LH is 1417mm and RH is 1432mm

 

Drum handbrake cables are a little shorter and might be what you've seen the figures for elsewhere - LH is 1372mm and RH is 1386mm.

this might explain why one of mine is constantly detaching from the mounting point!! damn! I didn't know they are different!!

Quite possibly as they don't fit/sit very well if you get them wrong, although equally, they can pop out from the clips on the fuel tank even when you do have the correct cables.
