Base Model Front Arb 'setting'

Recommended Posts

calvinhorse

I've just swapped my front arb to the larger 205xs arb (absolute nightmare of a job)

Just wondered how to set where it sits as it can move a good 20mm and would drastically alter where the wheels sit, is their a technique or is it just a case of measuring from the subframe to the tip of the arb?

In the Haynes book there is a diagram with a measurement to set the clamp bar.

I'm running your old xs engine which seams great! Gearbox whines a bit, think it's the input shaft bearing. I'm not complaining the box was free!!! Cheers bertman!
