Planned not to touch the car until my other came back but as that's gone weeks over schedule ive decided to carry on with the Peugeot.. first up is a pile of wheels, new s1 steel to replace mine that's gone funny and four s2's to make another set..

Next up will be refurbishing these, buying service items then getting the front end off :D

let me know how the S2's fit on the back, im planning to run s1's at the front and the wider 2's on the rear.

yeah im dubious about the fronts as my s1 steels stick out of the arches a good inch already.... made me wonder in the past if mines running a wider track like a 309 setup or something..?

dont think it is, my front S1's stick out aswell, but the wimpy base model rear beam isnt wide enough, so my rear wheels look lost in the arches. might nick the beam of my gti shell, or just run S2 at the back. get a bit more of a stance from it.

Was talking to tandoh today when picking up the wheels and he regrets running a disc beam on his rallye and is looking at returning to drum.

Very low profile tyres? Mine always rubbed with the correct size tyres, on all the 205's I've tried them on, base model beams, GTI drum beams. A FWD car needs to be narrower at the rear than the front for handling so don't go pushing out the rears like crazy!

Never knew that about tracking :/

I plan to run the 185's and only being half an inch bigger should be a problem, no stretch in sight..

Still considering the euro arches and angle grinder route but ill get the engine in first :)

yea ive not heard good things about rear disc beam set ups. my gti shell has the drum beam on it, so would like to take that off and store it ready to refurb it, but not sure how i would get rid of the shell if its not rolling.

Amazing colour. Bit of a clash with yellow though?

Im unsure if im honest.. being a dull colour has made them look smaller than before :/

they'd look nicer on my white rallye :P

personally i think the yellow and gold is too much a clash. anthracite would go better you you want to step outside the norm.

but, cant argue with white steels on a yellow rallye.

Thanks guys, I think Allye may be right but I'm hoping they will be growers haha

I didn't want bright gold, so the dull bronze is exactly what I was aiming for.. Hmmm
