2.0 Turbo Using The Standard 205 Alternator

As above really....why do i see most peeps use the existing 205 alternator on this xu10j2te conversion?

 

 

Is it a space thing or some other reason?

Ive fitted a 205 alternator to my turbo engine, the 205 unit is far more compact and when i weighed them both the 406 one was roughly 2kgs lighter!!

So personally i'd recommend fitting one.

Thanx for the info Dave....i'm still a little confused tho [not hard to do ] ....it seems like you have used the original 205 alternator but say the 406 one was 2 kg LIGHTER....why didnt you use the lighter one?
