2.0 Turbo Wiring.

Recommended Posts

peter

Im having a small problem with the wiring on my turbo conversion.

Im sure i have it correct as i have checked on here and with the wiring diagrams so maybe the ecu i have isnt unlocked.

Right i have, lives to pin 15 14 11 and 8 of the double relay and to pin 27 of the ecu.

I have a swithced live to pin 3

Pin 9 is coneccted directly to the fuel pump.

and the engine loom is earthed.

Is this definatly correct?

When the ignition is switched on one side of the double realy clicks but the other side does not which is the feed to the pump and coil pack.

So im assuming my ecu isn't unlocked and the person who i bought it from has bumped me!

Is there anyway to check the ecu?

Thanks!

pin 27 of ECU should be switched 12v (although perm 12v will be fine to get it running)

and pin 18 of ecu should be perm 12v - check you've got that!

The ECU gets the signal form the crank postion sensor and when it realises the engine is spinning it will pull to ground pin 10 of the double relay from pin 3 of ECU. This will then close the other relay in the double relay and provide power to the coil and the fuel pump and the car "should" burst into life!!

Is the crank position sensor plugged in and a known working one?

If you earth pin 10 of the double relay does the car run?

live to pin 18 and it was away! I searched on this forum for hours though and it never mentioned pin 18 needed a live.

Thanks alot!
