'peugeot 205 Club' Original Sticker

Recommended Posts

jdb1964

Hi,

Following correspondance from a seller from eBay with their 1988 205 GTI 1.9 , I have been emailed an image of a 'Peugeot 205 Club' sticker.

Shall try to upload image in a while.

Are there any members out there with info / similar stickers

I have a copy of an original Peugeot 205 GTI drivers Club' brochure and the image in the book ' 205 GTI Enthusiast' is different to this sticker from an actual car.

which is correct or did they change over time?

J

I've had a few 205's with those on, i think i transferred one to one of the cars i have now, and my challenge car might even have one!

Wasn't it part of the PSOOC?

The Peugeot 205 GTI club became the Peugeot GTI Club with the launch of the 309 GTI. It then became the Peugeot Sport Club when Peugeot moved towards models like the S16 and Mi16. Then Peugeot asked the club to change its name as there was some some confusion with the Peugeot Rally Club. They said to call it the Peugeot Sport Official Owners club and that is where it is today.

I am on the hunt for the original grille badge

I found one at the Classic motor show at the NEC at the weekend, Henry! New In Box. Ian Helme bought it.

One of the surviving 1FMs has a version of that sticker on it:

If it's as old as the car, it dates from late 1992.

Quite cool!
