did you check that the left and right cables were fitted to the correct sides?

 

Yep. But for the sake of hassle I'm gonna take them off again and try them the other way round.

 

I'm stumped as to what it can be besides a knackered caliper. But I'll swap 'em round and use a selection of washers if I have too. That or fork out ££ for the MOT garage to look at it :lol:
