Rallye Steels Tyre Sizes!

I have recently become heir to a set of s2 rallye steels, they are in need of refurb and a set of tyres.... I want to know what people are using on their steels!! I have noticed a few gtis with them on across the forum and wanted to see!! I have already searched and came across nothing useful!!!

on the 106 the 5.5" wise S1 steelie uses 175 60 14, and the 6" wide S2 wheel uses 185 55 14".

 

 

on a 205 you would be best off sticking to the original 1.6 gti size of 185 60 14.

When I ran my STDT with them on I used the standard 14" tyre size of 185-60r14.

Got 185\55R14 on mine, although the speedo was reading a little fast. Sorted that out by changing the drive on the end of the speedo cable to one with an extra tooth, reads spot on now!

Good to know - i've just got a set of the 6 inch ones and was planning on 185/60 r14s.

Just need to find some decent tyres.

185 / 55 / 14 on mine, speedo is a bit out though.
