Brake Master Cylinder Question

I have done a serch and read a few threads that give me the answer but I want to confirm this just to make sure I am getting it right.

 

The V6 406 coupe Master Cylinder is the same size/pressure as the 306 gti6 MC?

 

I have a 406 coupe MC in my possession and I am looking to put 4 pots on my 306 at some point soon, but the pipes on the 406 MC are on the opposite side of the MC from the 306's MC which means I would need to custom make new brake pipes.

 

But the gti6's MC has the pipes on the right side, so I just need to know if they are the same or is the 406 MC better to use?

 

Then I can look at selling the 406 MC and getting a gti6 MC and save myself the bother of making up pipes.

just keep the 6 master cylinder mate as its plenty big enough?
