it has been painted, i asked him about reciepts he said he has them for the internals bearings rings ect, but not for the labour as the engine was bought from a tuning company, will it run ok with a standard pump? or best to fit a inline electric pump?

Iron block? :P

My thoughts exactly. Maybe a 106 XSi or AX GTi block?

It's an alloy block in the pictures.

Late 205 1.4's often had Iron blocks, all the UK 205 Rallyes did for example as well as the 106XSi 1.4 and AX GTi.

You won't need an uprated fuel pump running a standard carb.

All that work and a standard carb and exhaust manifold?

stay clear

it is a alloy block not iron,

you wouldnt be running a engine with the money spent on it on a standard carb unless its being raced,, as it is not aloud to change inlets in some classes but most still change to the weber as its alowed

but why isnt the crank lighten and balance to go with the pistons and conrods???

I dont like it really so my advice is dont touch, your not even going to be able to here it running
