If you want to do some serious racing you really need a dog box. All synchronized boxes i used were faulty after a view races.

Even with new synchronisation rings the box only survived one season.

But most dog boxes for XU engines does not fit straight to the engine/clutch.

For example : I have a dogbox with a GEMINI gear kit and i had to modify the clutch (number of splines) and the release bearing (much bigger then standard XU)

and what i have heard/read if you use a SAMSONAS dog box you have to change the complete clutch and flywheel.
