Hopefully I'll get the antiroll bar in and dampers on tonight :-)

Starting to think about radiator brackets etc.

Modified the gear linkage too to get rid of that silly ball fitting on the subframe.

After a fare bit of fettling the manifold is now away for welding. I should have it back in about a week as they are busy.

Not too fussed as I've got loads to get on with.

Managed to get the tailgate painted last week too.

Tonight I've managed to get 90% of the power steering system on and fitted, happy days.....

Overall I pleased to be cracking on again.

If might be the angle of the photo, but is the bonnet going to close once you put an air filter on that?

I have T/B clearance and yeah its quite close to the bonnet 15mm +/-, but have a few ideas for trumpets and airbox.

The trumpets fitted are pretty well butchered TBH.

Overall I'm very happy.

The stainless exhaust is pretty much made also, just waiting to get a rear silencer then it will be all finish TIG welded.

Pics to follow at some point.

Not much to report, but been tinkering.

I've now sorted a slimline radiator fan and its now fitted ready for wiring up.

Also fabricated a coil mounting bracket and got the coil bolted on.

pics to follow,

Happy days

That colour looks odd now that it's out in the sunshine, although I can't put my finger on exactly why?

Wondering if it's because my brain keeps thinking that it's Steel Grey and thus should be metalic or something

Surprised you didn't take the opportunity to plasticare the trim while it was off the car, as (IMO) the faded blotchy trim really lets the fresh paintwork down.

I know, not really important in the grand scheme of things, especially for a track car, but just struck me as an odd thing to do after the time, effort, and expense doing all the prep and treating it to a full respray, that's all.

Still, you're making good progress and should go nicely once finished :)

Plasticare is on order and will be done shortly.

I just wanted to get it all on before it got lost or anymore parts got broken.....

I'm hopeful it should go well, although my mates have now gone out and bought a track E46 M3 and an RB25 powered Escort Cosworth.....

I'm thinking I should be able to hold my own though :-)
