    Boot carpet options

After long-term leaks from the rear quarterlights, my boot floor is rusted through and the carpet is a sludgy, shredded mess :-(. Based on recommendations here, I'm going to purchase one of the rear 30cm sections of floor to weld in. Re the carpet, there are many claimed options on Ebay, ranging from £20, for which I'm not confident they'll even fit properly, to £60+ allegedly 'genuine' replacements. Just wondered what the general feeling on here is re boot carpet/soundproofing options? Any suggestions? Any cheap creative solutions?? Cheap is always good for me :-)
  2. Alright, I want a new carpet for my 205 as mine is a bit shagged. Newton are making these carpets now and decently priced as well at £200. Don't want to buy a second hand one as they won't be perfect and the ones that are will be deer! I got a sample from them and was impressed! Just wondering though if anyone here has fitted it and what they reckon? Cheers.
  3. My carpet has gone like cherry red paint does with age, orange. This is very unsightly because the center console and door card bottoms are as good as new. So can you dye it? I sprayed it (wheeler dealer style) with cherry red once and it came up very good but that was 2 years ago now and its all worn off. I've just washed it again out of the car and gonna try some fabric dye, probably a waste of time but here goes.
