Edp your project is very inspirational for me, as I'm about to do a GTI6 conversion on my GTI. Could you please tell me where did you bought the smaller engine mount ? I haven't seen any information about you changing the exhaust manifold ? Did you tilt the engine then ?

Also if you could help me with finding place to get those steel fuel lines going from fuel filter and also all the brake lines which are visible under the bonnet that would be great help.

Cheers,

Mike

The smaller mount was from burton motorsport and its a mk 2 escort item. I cut and welded the exhaust flange to suit the Ashley exhaust/manifold and also added the lambda boss.

Th braided fuel lines were from a place in isleworth in england called thinkautomotive.

Mike you will need to measure the diameter of the pipes of the picture you sent me. You need the internal diameter.

I cannot find the paperwork and do not remember the size. Sorry!

Well I'm starting all this again.

Going back to 8v power. IMO the GTi6 lump is far far too heavy for the nimble 205 chassis and so have decided to reinstate a 1900 lump. Keep a look out in the for sale section as this engine and plenty of other bits will be up for grabs.

I will of course carry on taking photos on the 'new' journey and hopefully getting plenty of feedback from you guys!

Wish me luck!
