Ed, just out of interest..when you got your wheels powdercoated, do you know what that colour is? is there a name or RAL number or something? they look really well and mine are off to the powdercoater soon. Projects coming on well too by the looks of things! I've read this project about 6 times now start to finish! :( great work!

Cheers for the comments guys keep em coming!

Chris I didn't specify a colour but I do know there are loads of silvers so Its worth asking your powder coater to have a look. I think the coater went for the nearest as he had when he did the my wheels.

Update time!

As matt said i've been really busy up to and after christmas so the car has been neglected for a while. I rolled her out today to fit a few of the last parts from peugeot and took a few pics for you guys too. Cheers for all the comments as usual it makes it all worth while

So first on the list was to fit the new fan switch I got from pug. I think the switch itself is actually for an air con model but as it had a picture of a fan on the front I thought it was perfect for my factory finish switch panel. It switches twin fans via a relay but the fans are also wired up to a thermostat situated in the top radiator hose pipe.

I also bought the five hole panel at the same time to finish the whole look off. So now I have the fan, hazard, front heated screen, rear heated screen and the fog light. Personally I think it looks the business

even if I do say so myself.

I then set about my new dials. I bought some standard dials but from france so they have the numbers around the various gauges. I'm not sure why they never bothered with the uk cars?! I swapped the speedo so it reads MPH instead of KMH and thats all I needed to do. I was going to go with BX16V dials like in my white car but I wanted to try the french dials on this project.

I then moved onto the last of the powder coated items I picked up recently. The main part I had been waiting for was the slam panel. The engine bay is now finished apart from filling up the PAS reservoir.

I then fitted the number plates and took a few snaps of the outside of the car. Some of the photos are s*ite as it was getting dark. I've finally got a rear screen seal so will have that fitted shortly. Apart from that its just a few bits need tidying up and then It will be ready for an MOT. Once I've got all that, keep an eye out a for sale thread perhaps

s*it the bed Ed, are you trying to get me divorced??!!!!

Inspirational project - have booked mine in for an MOT (expired last August) end of the month and will drag it out of the garage as soon as battery recharged for a wash (can't see through the windscreen ATM)
