Kms Ecu Poor Cold Running

Hi all

 

i have kms ecu and lambda on my 106 gti

 

it runs verry poor form cold, doesnt idle ect

 

Any hints or tips?

Good mapping. The KMS base map supplied on the 106GTi I mapped was terrible on cold start.

cheers, i got the car with kms already fitted and was not

given the software, cables ect? what do i need to get in to fettle

with the map??

you can download the latest software and manual from the KMS site HERE

 

You'll need a serial cable to go from the ECU to your laptop. You may need a serial to usb converter if your laptop doesnt have a serial connection

The later firmware revisions allow the lambda to be turned on at -20deg and then have options as to how lean the engine will run at different temps (up to 60deg).

 

This should make cold start mapping a lot easier.
