ive done the doors and rear arches no problem but im having trubble with the bumpers/front arches.

the little plasic clips i got from peugeot seem to be the wrong size.

they seem to be too small for the holes on the front arches and too big for the holes on the bumpers, have i got the right part?

The clips you have are for all the rest of the trim except the 2 small bits on the front arches... those are quite different with feathered edges for gripping the bodywork. I 'think' they are also in 2 parts, with an insert that goes in the hole first, although that might be for the actual front arches...

Get back down to Peugeot and their pics should show different clips for there

As Jon says, the clips in the front wing are different, as they hold the plastic trim on, as well as the metal insert.

They look like this, and fit like this. Put them into the insert first, then push them through the plastic arch and bodywork in one go.

you can see from the pics that the plastic clips dont fit in the holes, ive tryed to force them in and ended up denting the red strip.

then i try to fit the clip without the red strip on the clip bends out of shape.

which makes me think the holes in the bumper are too small but these are OE peugeot ones which should fit. ive been down to my local delealer who has forward my pics onto peugeot to see what they think.

has anyone got any ideas?

I take it you're using the clips that are in your original post yeah? If so then not sure why your having so many problems?! I've fitted the red trim both ways, with the clips on the red trim and then pushed into the bumper and with the clips pushed in the bumper and then the red trim cliped over them afterwards...

Can you take a close up picture of the clip on the trim and the whole in the bumper?

Just drill the holes in the bumper to make them bigger.

That may/will do it but I'd personally like to know why the oem clips don't fit before drilling away :D

You should think yourself lucky .. i pulled off all the weather strips off my 309 to clean and polish underneath, 90% of them snapped when the trim came off so had to replace all of the 'fir trees' on my 309 .. 48 of em at a cost of 49p +VAT each!!! Then an insert is required for the fir tree to push in to.. 48 required but they a more reasonable 14p each !! .. all in all 35 quidish just to fix the weather strips on .. RIP OFF .. does anyone know a known cheaper source for these things ? They dont appear to be the same style as shown in the pictures but can get the part number
