The offical weight of a Euro 205 Rallye is 675kgs. ( I guess that is a dry weight perhaps?)

It makes for the cheapest road tax here

Some other reports say 790k'gs (wet maybe?)

675 seems seriously light for a standard Rallye, i'd believe the 790 myself.

and could you remind me of the weight again please

ET18 x 6", prices and exchange rates have risen, so best to enquire with your local dealer (or scrapyard...)

I paid £200 for all 4 inc VAT but as WP says, the prices seem to be going up so best to ask a dealer. I think they weigh 4.8kgs each.

Anyone know the weight of a front subframe? GTi specifically but I doubt that the base model one is much different.

Cheers,

306 GTi-6 rear hub with bearing and 4 steel wheel studs sticking out - about 2300-2400 grams.

It's slightly longer than a 205 hub and with an ABS ring, so I reckon close to 2000 grams without the studs for the 205 hub.

Front 306 GTi-6 hub slightly less than 6 kg.

not much

browsing a friends build thread on the 306gti6 forum I came across these;

ML5 Gearbox - 50.5kg with selector fork

GTi6 Gearbox - 40.2kg with selector fork

GTi6 Inlet Manifold Complete - 9kg

GTi6 Exhaust Manifold - 5.7kg

V6 Inlet Manifold Complete - 6kg

GTi6 engine with plugs, cambelt aux tensioners, PAS + alternator, flywheel and clutch (no wiring, most water hoses) - 145kg

V6 - too heavy for the scales (over 150).

V6 Standard Flywheel - 8.1kg (mine is expected to be about 7kg - safety first!)

V6 Standard Clutch - 7.2kg

I weighed my standard shocks and springs as well as rear dampers today:

OE front shock absorbers with standard springs and top mounts - about 7 kg each

OE rear dampers, one dead/empty so possibly lighter than the other - just over 3 kg the pair
