Mi16 Conversion - Can I Keep Pas

Recommended Posts

d-9

Im about to embark on the mi16 conversion, but im wondering on a few aspects of it, the first one is how do i keep the pas? Will the 8v pas pump fit the mi?

(please dont do the "throw away the pas, keep the pas ram" routine, i went down this route when the high pressure hose went and decided i didnt like it)

you will need the powersteering pump of the 405 mi16 and the gearbox bracket and pulley on the camshaft if you haven't already got.

I've got all the parts needed if you want.

Yes, you can keep the PAS, but you need the PAS pump from the Mi16.

There's a pulley on the end of the exhaust cam, which pulls a pump via a belt, thats mounted on the gearbox.

Should all hook upto the 205 PAS rack/ram.

You can also get the pump and mounting bracket of a 205 TD

you will need to modify the 205 pipes though as they are far to long for the mi16 pump and the 405 one run back under the car for some reason and arnt suitable either

if you can get the high pressure hose that goes between the pump and the rack from the 405 it will fit perfectly.
