Which Cambelt

Hi guys

Which cambelt is used on a 2.0 iron block mi16 with a 1.9 mi16 head on?

 

I am about to put it back together do not know which belt to use as the old belt is gone!

You need the 2.0 Mi16/S16 cambelt (134 tooth) and tensioner setup.

I Think the old belt was a 136 tooth and it seemed a bit too long.

136 would have been a gti6 belt.

Ok. Thanks. The guy I bought it from Said he thought it was from a 405 diesel.

 

Just bought the 134 tooth belt. Waiting to get the block back from honing and the head back from valveguide renewal.

ah, yes those are 136 tooth as well, but a different tooth profile

There are no real differences between the 1.9 and 2.0 Mi heads other than an oil hole and an exhaust stud. Perhaps 1 more difference, but it's nothing significant. PeterT's website shows this nicely.

 

So as Anthony said, you need your 2.0 Mi cambelt as it's basically no different to factory.
