Tu24 Oil/water Heat Exchanger

I've got a small oil leak where the oil/water sandwich plate fits between the oil filter and the engine block. I'm guessing there is rubber o ring between the sandwich plate and the block as per the one on the oil filter?

Once the water pipes to the oil /water heat exchanger sandwich plate are removed is it just a case of turning it anti clockwise to remove it?

you turn the hollow bolt under the filter that clamps the heat exchanger down.

Ah, just didn't want to turn it in case I knackered it or it had the opposite thread so it didn't loosen when you undo the oil filter. Has it got a seal behind it? Is there a similar thing on a 1.9Gti?

An oil filter seal in good condition is a good alternative to the Peugeot part referenced above.

Thanks everyone, I had a brand new oil filter seal so have used that, fingers crossed that will stop the leak.
